Daniel V. Zimmer, MD, FACS is a board certified, fellowship-trained cornea and refractive surgeon. He is the Medical Director of Associates in Ophthalmology and a Preceptor for the Pennsylvania College of Optometry's externship program. He is also a Clinical Instructor at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Zimmer received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio. His ophthalmology residency was completed at Tulane Medical Center, followed by a corneal and refractive fellowship at the prestigious Wake Forest Medical Eye Center. As a recognized authority on corneal and refractive procedures, Dr. Zimmer has devoted his personal and professional activities to sharing his expertise and passion with ophthalmologists, optometrists and patients. He presents educational seminars locally, regionally and nationally. His award winning Patient Education Series has provided countless patients with a clearer understanding of cataract and refractive surgical options. He is actively involved in clinical research trials, lectures and publications. He is the recipient of numerous honors and awards.
